I have spent my entire adult life working as a public servant. As I progressed through my career, I saw a need for my brothers and sisters that risk their lives every day serving the community to have an outlet. Just like many of you that are considering therapy I decided to go back to school while continuing my career and while raising a family. I understand the battle of feeling burnt out after working a 8, 10, 12, or 24 hour shift then coming home and trying to be a hero to your family.
I proud to be a Tampa Native. After graduating high school, I attended Hillsborough Community College and Learey Technical College. I received my bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in Psychology. After Graduation, I pursued my master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University with a M.S Mental Health Counseling.
Along with my career as a 12 year career as a public servant, I also have over 5 years working in the mental health field. I have worked at multiple agencies that assist with mental health crisis management. On a daily basis I help individuals that are having a medical emergency. I have been trained to help people that is possibly having the worst day of their life and understand the expectation to treat everyone with respect and dignity regardless of their emergency
